Dulcinea

Amit, our Dulcinea, is sooooooo precious. I can't keep my hands away from her, especially when she's making these cute baby sounds. Yesterday we strolled in the park in Kiriat Ono and I touched the beautiful blue sculptures on the hill by our lovely neighbor, the artist Ofra Zimbalista. I just love watching Amit smile, and when she cries, from time to time, I show her how I can cry too, even louder :)

I have a new cousin!!!

Amit, my gorgeous new cousin, was born to her loving parents, Noa & Eitan!
She's so calm and tiny, and I love reaching my hands out to her, to play with her. But I should be gentle with her as I'm double her size now. We're all so happy welcoming her to the world...

Chewing my fist

I just love chewing my fist!

Till I was three months old I used to suck ima's milk every three hours, as a Swiss clock, but now that I'm 4 months old I'm gobbling milk much more frequently, well I'm growing, you see!

Raising my head

Raising my head takes a lot of effort, and a bit of frustration, lying on my belly. Yet, there are so many toys to explore up there, so sometimes it's worth the effort!

Trip to Oregon with Savta & Saba

Spending a month on the California-Oregon roads with Savta, Saba, ima & aba has been a one-of-a-kind experience for all of us. I was breathing fresh air in forests, by rivers, and in chilly beaches while being snugged in my comfy baby-carrier. Savta bathed me in all sorts of tubs and sinks while traveling from one B&B or hotel to another. One of my favorite places was the Rogue river, where we stayed for a week in Jill, David & Jeanna's house in Galice, Oregon. Saba had spent days and days of singing to me on the balcony and in the river bank while I was lying in my favorite position on his arms. We stayed in boutique B&Bs such as the "Metro Hotel" with a French orientation, another which was built in 1865 and was renovated lately, one which looks like a museum and used to belong to a family, where savta laid me between the dolls which belonged to the kids living there. I stayed in the kids' room surrounded by these hand-made dolls in the oldest B&B I've ever stayed in. This was quite a unique experience during our trip in Oregon. This was a home whose owners were very fond of fly-fishing, and many of the decorations there were anglers and sketches of fish.

A bundle of joy

Aren't I cute?! I'm no older than a few weeks, and I've already been to many exhibitions, at the Cantor Arts museum (day 4), at the SFMOMA museum, at the Frida Kahlo exhibition (day 8), at an impressionism - expressionism exhibition at the University of Salt Lake City (week 5), A Chiholi glass exhibition, at the De young Museum in San Francisco -- which were all spectacular!

I am born!

I would like to introduce myself. I am a perfectly healthy baby girl, born in Stanford on June 8th at 8am after a very light and easy delivery. I perfectly timed my arrival with the eve of Shavuot holiday! ima and aba call me Lotem (a beautiful rock rose) and I am tall 49cm, skinny 3kg, and blond like ima.

getting ready for Shavu'ot

The day of my arrival was such a beautiful day. In the morning, aba and ima went to the Elizabeth Gamble garden, and later ima went swimming and walked back home. They had special plans for the evening, going out with their friends, Elhanan, DT and Shirit to spend the whole night at the new Jewish museum in San Francisco, celebrating Shavu'ot eve with concerts and talks. When they were all ready to drive to the city, I announced my plans by breaking the bag of water...
